| I have been promising the other half that I would leave the icke site for ages now and after logging in and looking at threads there I am feeling totally motivated to do so - but feel that the only way to ensure that I do not go back is to get my account banned - The reason why I cannot bare the place any longer is that it is a hotbed of extremist views that include racism, sexism, homophobia and intense anti semitism.
The entire place just feels negative and lacking in any ability to discuss pertinent topics without the use of generalisations, fear mongering and hateful rhetoric.
When Icke said that infinite love was the only way forward it resonated - I want the world to be a safe, enjoyable and prosperous place for everyone everywhere. I have no time for those who are only after bettering their own lot or who wish to see segregation so that their 'race' has a better life then others. That is not the change I wish to see.
We read a lot on truth sites about people being brainwashed by the msm - it is my belief that those on alternative sites are as much at risk of brainwashing as those who read mainstream sources.
That those who do not hold the same belief as 'truthers' are labelled sheep by the same people who go on about how the ''jews' think they are chosen people - or those of different coloured skin are openly being told to 'fuck off back to where they came from' appalls me.
That those who challenge the rhetoric are banned whilst those who make such statements are 'protected' is for me as ridiculous as christians being banned from wearing a cross at work whilst other religions are free to express their faith - its as if the dif are the polar opposite to the mainstream and yet both employ the same unequal and unfair policies. Which for me is hypocrisy too far.
So I am removing myself. If my account on there can be of any use in spreading the word about this place just let me know.

You should PM 10 people you like before the hammer falls. I may join you, I havent decided yet... Although this thread being here has set the fuse really. |

| Actually... if you give yourself 3 days, that would be 30 PM's you could send with email details or links of some sort to here.
We could all get our heads together and try and put together a list of people that we think would like it here...
Just a thought. |

| Absolutely agree, thoreau. It's totally bleak and can't be doing any good for those with depressions and the like. It's absolutely vitriolic at times. But, you know, after a few days away your head starts to clear of it and when you go back after a fortnight or so... well, you just sit there wondering why on earth you joined in the first place.
You're best off out of it. I believe that those people who aren't full of hate and "ism" work their way through the b/s eventually and go. All that is getting left are the sort no one wants to associate with. |

All that is getting left are the sort no one wants to associate with. Especially the bit about not missing it all once you've gone. I did it complete cold-turkey and just glancing at the threads over there as a guest now makes me feel a bit sick. I am much, much happier for it. |

| All those points are true... but there's some good folks over there that quite honestly need to be pilfered.
That's the only reason I'm going back. |

That's the only reason I'm going back. Oh, yep, there are still loads of good people over there, many of whom I'd be thrilled to see join here. Grab 'em before they go off looking for somewhere else and get lost in the ether! (p.s: any forays or whatever, don't forget that I still have my account over there under "cat". I can be like a sort of Squire Mercenary! ) |

| I went inactive myself just over a week ago, and it's felt kinda weird not having the DIF in my life, so to speak but I had to go - the negativity there was affecting me mentally and I was spending far too much time there. I felt as if I was addicted to something really unhealthy. My OH says that I'm a bit too delicate for somewhere like the DIF, and he's probably right lol! What kept me there so long, though, were the good people there - and there are many. It's good to see many of them here! I feel as if I've come out of my shell a bit, here, knowing I won't get squished from a great height for merely expressing an opinion! Mandy |

| well lemme know who to pm and i shall until teh banstick It has been awesome to see a different side to peeps here. @mandy - my oh says the same about me and the dif - he hates that I come away from some threads either so angry at the comments I have read or crushingly depressed at the attitudes. I know that we all think different things and thats cool with me - just I like to give and get a little respect with me musings which I don't think is entirely unreasonable. If icke is right and it is negative frequencies that drive the shit that happens in the world - that place must create an all you can eat buffet!! |

| Yeah the DIF is very negative and bleak. It's gives off bad energy. I had to get out. The "butters" incident was the final straw. I swore my head off at him, said disgusting things to him. I felt a bit guilty tbh, and a bit crap for letting myself stoop to a low level of interaction with someone. I sort of enjoyed it a bit at the time because I was bareing my teeth fully for the first time But yeah, the DIF is rotten to the core now IMO. |

| This thread alone being public should do the trick over there thoreau!
To quote a well known character, "they don't like it up 'em!"
There are already characters over there that I miss chatting with. I used to love chatting with the apprentice for example and andyh and me have very similar views on such things as economies and community too. There ARE good people there.
As for the DIF being rotten, indeed and mountain's link (cheers sket) has shown me this really is nothing new. |

| The apprentice is just lovely... a real nice soul that one.
Not going to pretend I get everything he speaks about sometimes but the stuff he says in regards to learning skills, is very poignant.
Have you asked anyone here yet thor? |
