i love tattoos...they're a big part of my life. seeing that i'm the newbie to y'all (and i love tattoos) i fingered i'd make a thread with all of my tattoos...let you get a bit more familiar with me.

the amount of work that has gone into these is astonishing.The only thing that puts me off tattoos is the pain thing.ouch

the pain is part of the love for me. yeah...it sucks during. like my back...i was in tears for hours for a couple sessions.

but afterwards, after you've released all those endorphins...pleasant mood for days. and i use the time to reflect upon my life and deal with issues, kinda push the negativity out of me with the pain...so it turns into a very healing, therapeutic experience.

but it does hurt...really bad sometimes...

I think it depends a lot on location. When I had mine I was expecting the worst but the most painful thing about it was denying myself the urge to itch as the skin healed. During it was just a mild "tickle" for the most part.

I respectfully defer to loudmouth as our expert on such matters, however.

like ab o said...it does depend upon location. my lower back was horrible. the chest is rough...rib cage rough.

arms aren't bad, nor are the legs. certain spots hurt more than others. some almost put you to sleep.

and like ab said...the healing sucks! it itches and you have to keep washing them and keep them clean and covered. when i get like my neck tattooed, i have to wrap it up in syran wrap and medical tape. so i walk around in public with syran wrap wrapped around my neck and people look at me like some sort of leper....kinda funny. the healing process is much more annoying than getting tattooed, by far.
