| Do you believe in Dinosaurs?
I have a 'thing' about Dinosaurs and don't believe they were real.
However I'll be grateful to anyone who can convince me Dinosaurs did exist

| Nobody will ever be able to definitively convince you candle. Apparently, we weren't there! However, I do share your concerns, somewhat. Certainly, and as ever, I don't believe we're told the entire truth. T-rex for example, never made sense to me. If he was so fiercesome, what are those stupid, piddly little forearms about? I was looking at some kangaroo skeletons recently too (it's just something I do in my spare time that brings me pleasure) and I noticed t-rex fossils are remarkably similar. I looked further into it and "scientists" say that although similar, the two could not have moved at all in the same way, as the tails of both evolved or were "designed" to do very different things. I'm still suspicious though. Just imagine a big scary t-rex (which none of us would ever have seen in the flesh, also according to "scientists") and put some cute sticky-up ears, fur and a pouch on it. I rest my case. |

| I actually have a bit of a theory about 'humans' also being present during the time of the dinosaur.
I believe we were around, but much fewer in number and much larger in stature (like about five times the size we are now). I think it may have something to do with "giant" folklore, actually.
I think, at some point in history, people started to uncover the remains of these giants and the dinosaur thing was dreamt up to keep us quiet. That's not to say there weren't 'dinosaurs' too, except to us at the time, they would have just been other creatures we shared the planet with, that generally weren't that much bigger than us.
That's what I think anyway, but then I am slightly unhinged. |

| I don't think we'll ever know the whole truth on this one! Carbon dating can actually be massively wrong, and the older the artefact, the more inaccurate it can be, apparently. The Bible makes mention of what are possibly prehistoric creatures, in the book of Job: Behemoth (which sounds like a mammoth to me by its description), and Leviathan (Heaven knows what that one was lol!).
My little nephew, who's 5, loves dinosaurs - no-one's yet had the heart to tell him they're no longer around!

| I am inclined to believe that dinosaurs existed considering the evidence - however what we think we 'know' about them is in many cases purely guesstimates based on the world we currently live in and the way we have made sense of that.
I like the giant lore idea ab - makes a sort of sense. |

I like the giant lore idea ab - makes a sort of sense. It doesn't really...but thanks for saying! I'm always inspired to think along those lines though, when I see pictures of those massive trees you can still find around the planet. Some of the oldest surviving structures make me wonder about it too, with their massive pieces all neatly slotted together. |

We will never know but it is as plausible as many theories put out there - all thats lacking is teh bones - but we are still discovering stuff so you never know That's where the conspiracy bit comes in, see...we are finding the bones, but they are shipped off somewhere immediately and dismissed as 'dinosaur'. I think one or two people claim to have found mahoosive thigh bones and stuff, but they tend to just get called nutters. I was reading something about burial mounds (or weird shaped 'hills' to your average lay-person) a while ago actually, and how there are so many of them around certain parts of Britain. Gonna find me one and get digging. I was also thinking about dimensional 'shifts', in that it may be possible for all I know, that dimensions merge cyclically, if you like. So there could still very well be a 'giant' dimension parallel to ours that at some point was much more integrated, along with the big d's. You really need to be off your tits a bit to think about some of this stuff, though. Psketti? |

| I believe in ghosts too, candlelight! Not sure about fairies though - I'd like to think they existed - they certainly ought to! When I was little, I used to write little notes and leave them in the garden for any fairies that happened to be passing! They never got answered, though... Mandy |

| Mandy i've seen a fairy skeleton , it was really odd . I suppose in a sense I'm not sure if it was a fairy , but it was too small for a leperchaun IYSWIM? It was really odd and three of us saw it so it wasn't my imagination |

It was really odd and three of us saw it so it wasn't my imagination Wow, that's amazing dawn! I've never seen anything like that but I'm pretty sure I've seen a ghost. I was only a little girl and I was playing on the floor of the lounge, and I looked up to see an old lady standing in the doorway. She was wearing what I would describe now as "Victorian dress". She smiled at me, and vanished! I didn't tell my parents about it until years later and they were astounded as they hadn't been aware of any "ghostly presences" in that house (we moved out in 1978). Weird! Mandy |
