| I'm sat here, my domestic chores unfinished, I'm a funny shade of bluey white,(think underside of fish belly ) When a small voice in my head whispered "get out into the sun child, come into the light" I'm in need of some vit D or summit, starting to blend into the anaglypta, must get out. It's a beautiful sunny day, I and feel guilty for letting it pass me by, my dog is champing at the bit so... time for me to move my ass. I hurt my back yesterday after chocking on a piece of toast, could hardly move all day, makes me feel so grateful it was temporary. So I'm off to sing with nature and count my blessings. Hope you have a nice day today, all you Sanctumions. |

| Are people scared of the sun?
My ex husband was like this, wouldn't leave the house without factor 50 (yes 50) suncream on.

I've been sceptical about suncream in the last couple of years to be honest... reminds me I have to look into it some more very soon. Remember, who stands to benefit from you being 'scared' of the sun? Also, who benefits if you do everything you can to avoid whatever health-giving properties exposure to it can cause which ultimately results in you being 'deficient' in certain things and getting ill? Just sayin. |

| Actually, this very wise poster just about sums the whole thing up. Make of this what you will: http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1731801/pg1 - Quote :
- Re: The Sun & Cancer Myth: “The Sun Causes Skin Cancer”
all the bs aside the following is fact
vitamin d3 prevents cancer
vitamin d2 does not prevent cancer.
vitamin d3 is produced by UVB light
vitamin d2 production depletes vitamin d3 production
vitamin d2 is produced by UVA light
sunscreen blocks UVB
im sure you can figure out the implications. See where I'm trying to forcefully direct you with this? Don't tell anyone I told you. |

I mentioned before but while you're looking into it, you may also like to look at just how important D3 production is for your body too. You only really need half hour's exposure a day to make yourself a good dose - and it's FREE! Imagine that... Ahead of you again ab... looked into the D3 thing when the swine flu fiasco came upon us. From there I came to the conclusion that if myself and my family where going to take anything, it would be D3. As we live in the fantasically unsunny climate of the north east of Scotland, the next best thing was a supplement. I've had us all on a daily dose of D3 drops (not tablets) for nearly 3 years. When the sun is out... its a double bonus But cheers anyways for the tips |

You want to try and aim to 'achieve' around 50,000 ius per week. Sounds a lot but it isn't, really. Plus, it's really not necessary if you're out in the real-deal as much as possible anyway. Now watch as they outlaw D3 supplements... |
