| Thanks nettles I'll have a nose around see if I can find anything. My step-uncle loved second hand shops, he used to buy all his clothes from them. |

- I've just been looking at the basic kit...I need a job last week!
I'm going to get my finger out, June is just around the corner! Just bring tarp or tent something to sleep in, something to sleep on if on the ground I use pine branches, changes of clothing but you can wash in the stream but only using natural means, enough food although by making stews and the like you don't need as much as you think we have 1st aid kit pots and pans cups and cutlery I remember someone turned up with a duvet and 8 cans of lager thats bloody hardcore, he did only last 1 night. the Kit lit is only a pointer to what you may need here is a copy Clothing Your clothing should be suitable for the season, during cold months multiple thin layers are better than one thick layer. You should also bring a spare set to get changed into. Natural colours will improve your chances of spotting wildlife. Waterproof jacket quick dry and waterproof trousers or gaiters for autumn and winter ( you wont need waterproofs or gaiters) gloves anything that keeps your hands warm but allows you to grip ( up to you) Woolly hat most of your body heat escapes via your head A hat with a brim during spring, summer and autumn courses. will allow you to spot wildlife more easily Sensible footwear Footwear should be practical, warm, waterproof, and provide ankle support. 3 Season walking boots are ideal during the Spring,Autumn and Winter And 2 Season boots are suitable throughout the summer. ( good sturdy boots are needed, aldi are doing some for £16) water bottle A minimum 1 litre water bottle, this can be any suitable container that holds a litre ( dont bring water we have a natural spring ) Knife, fork, spoon, bowl & mug ( we have some on site but you may want to bring your own) KFS should be of a sturdy construction. The bowl and mug can be wood, plastic or metal . Cleaning equipment A household sponge and biodegradable multi purpose soap is ideal. We would ask you not to bring soap that will have a detrimental effect on the environment. ( we will show you a natural way without the use of washing liquid or sponge) Torch & spare batteries This is for emergencies only. A head torch is ideal, as it will leave your hands free to practice your bushcraft, but a head torch is not essential, any form of torch will suffice. ( this is a must the woods get very dark) Personal hygiene kit This should include as minimum anti-bacterial wipes, towel and toilet paper. Notebook and pencil Personal first aid kit ( we will have a first aid kit on site )Dont go mad buying lots of kit do a kit share if there is only 1 person in a 3 man tent share if someone has spare kit share dont worry about it just come and enjoy the freedom of living outdoors, |

Jane That strikes me as a very good idea! Not so good water-proof wise though. That what you mean? |
