some one told me a dog puts its paw on top of yours it means its in charge. i had a terrier that was ocd about that.

yup....the black one is my boy hermes...he's a blue heeler.

the white one is her pitbulll.

hermes is by far the alpha. pit bull is even bigger than him and much stronger but being a blue heeler, by nature he is ridiculously intelligent (that's the border collie coming out in the breed) and extremely dominant (that's the dingo coming out).
