The human eye can only focus on one distance at once, which makes it hard for people to read a heads-up display while looking at the real world.

Glasses with built-in screens allow users to see displays directly in front of them, but the field of vision is narrow.

But now a company has developed a contact lens that promises a much wider field of vision.

Call me a "luddite", but I don't like it!

I particularly don't like the idea of walking around and being able to have information 'transmitted' to my eye-balls about people I see walking passed me, as demonstrated in the vid. That could have all sorts of nefarious purposes, particularly when coupled with various other rfid technology.

I notice they mention the blood-glucose application, which might be one way to win people over.

If they're capable of doing this though, think of all the other illnesses and conditions that could be combatted overnight.

Doubt that'll happen though.

I don't like that one bit. And I don't believe they're being developed for the right reasons... that line between human and machine is getting shorter


But maybe I'm just an old fuddyduddy

i like the idea and what it delivers.. but i know its all going to be used for the wrong reasons.
and not being an upright citizen, i can't really afford to be monitored
